Manama, Bahrain: ila Bank announced Abdulla Ahmed Al Tooq as the lucky winner of the Al Kanz July 2023 draw, winning a prize amount of US$50,000. The digital mobile-only bank, powered by Bank ABC, identified the winner following an automated draw held in the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Industry & Commerce, Bank ABC, ila Bank and Ernst & Young.

A 50-year old retiree, Mr. Al Tooq uses all the products and features on the ila Bank app. When he was informed of his lucky win, he was in disbelief. “The money has come at the right time; just when my family and I need it,” he said. Mr. Al Tooq plans to furnish his new home with the prize amount, as well as use it towards the education of his son who studies abroad.

As a loyal ila Bank customer, Mr. Al Tooq plans to continue depositing his savings into the Al Kanz prize account. “I hope to win again,” he says.

Customers of ila Bank stand a chance to win huge cash prizes simply by depositing their savings into their Al Kanz account. Every BD50 in the prize account is counted as one entry into the monthly draw. This year’s cash prizes total a massive sum of US$2.25 million.
