What is the difference between "Profit" and "Interest"?
Conventional banks treat money as a commodity to charge interest as opposed to Islamic banks that generate profits through Shari’a compliant transactions such as Wakala investment backed by assets. Islamic banks are allowed to generate profits on investments through Shari'a compliant instruments.
