What documents will I need to open an ila account?
You will need one piece of ID.
ID documents that you can use:
- Valid Jordanian ID

How long does it take to process my documents and open my account?
In most cases, it takes a few minutes to open your ila account. However, you might face some delay depending on the documents you provide or any other missing information that you might need to share with us.
How can I fund my account?
You can easily fund your account in seconds in four different ways:
- CliQ
- Bank transfer
- Cash deposit at an ila ATM
Can I change the name of my accounts?
You can change the name of any of your accounts by selecting the account and tapping the edit icon next to the account name.
How often can I change my account names?
You can change your account names as often as you wish.
Can I copy and paste my IBAN?
You can copy your IBAN by selecting the account and tapping the copy icon next to the IBAN. You can then paste this number where required.
What is my account number?
Your account number is the 14 digits after "ABCO" in your IBAN.
What is the ‘Transaction Filter’ feature?
In addition to viewing All your transactions, you can now filter them into four categories: Credits, Debits, Pending Payments and Failed Payments. This will enable you to locate transactions with ease.
How can I access the ‘Transaction Filter’ on the app?
Select your account and tap on 'All Transactions'. Here you can view the filters available and select the type of transaction according to your needs.
What is the ‘Transaction Advice’ feature?
You can view the details and download a PDF of any of the transactions in your account. This can then be shared or printed for your records
How do I generate a ‘Transaction Advice’ on the app?
Select your account and the transaction you wish to view the details of. Then, under 'Transaction advice' at the bottom of the screen, tap Print/Share to generate and export in PDF.
What is a Hassala?
A Hassala is a clay pot that was traditionally used in Jordan for saving money.
You can create your own digital Hassala through the ila app and start saving for the things that matter to you most.
What is a Goal based Hassala?
Goal based Hassala will enable you automate payments directly into your Hassala, set goals and schedule payments to your saving pot.
How do I open a Hassala?
Select the 'Savings' tab on your overview screen and tap on ‘Hassala'. You can open your Hassala in just a few simple clicks!
How many Hassalas can I open?
You can have up to twenty separate Hassalas, 10 regular hassalas and 10 goal based hassalas.
How do I fund my Hassala?
You can start saving right away by adding money to your Hassala's from your account by using the 'Add Money' button on your Hassala
How do I automate my monthly savings plan?
While you create the Goal Hassala, you will be guided as to how to automate your savings. You can set your savings goal and choose a monthly deposit or even the number of months.
How is Goal Hassala different from a Regular Hassala?
A goal based Hassala enables you to set a target, automate payments and track how much of your target you have achieved. A regular Hassala has an open goal.
Can I withdraw money from my Hassala?
You can withdraw your money at any time by simply moving the required funds from your Hassala back to your account
Do I earn interest on the balance in my Hassala account?
Yes, you can. Interest is calculated JOD Hassala daily and paid monthly.
What if I don't want to earn interest on my Hassala?
You can switch off the interest when opening Hassala. You can always change the setting should you wish to receive it even after opening the account from the More menu in Hassala.
How do I close my Hassala account?
You can close your Hassala from the More Options menu. You will be asked to transfer the remaining balance to your current account, If the Hassala goal is met, the "Close" option will appear on the main Hassala overview.
Can I open a Hassala in any currency?
You can open Hassalas in all available currencies on the ila app
What is a virtual debit card?
A virtual debit card remains in your ila app only and can be used instantly after activation.
Your card contains all the details needed for you to perform your online transactions.
You can use it on eCommerce transactions.
Link multiple currencies to your virtual card ensuring that you get the right currency for your online transactions.
You will get your virtual debit card immediately once your ila account is open.
How do I apply for an ila debit card?
Head over to "Cards" section on the ila app, click the "Order Card" button. Make sure that you have at least JOD 20 in your account before you order a card.
Where can I use my ila cards?
You can use your ila virtual card on eCommerce transactions. Enabling you to make online purchases, top-up your wallets, order a taxi or your favorite food delivery without delay.
You can use your ila physical card on all the above along with ATMs in Jordan , ATMs anywhere in the world that accept Mastercard, point of sale devices, across Jordan and worldwide where accepted.
What should I do if I lose or damage my physical card?
If you’ve temporarily misplaced your card, you can freeze it instantly within the ‘My Cards’ section of the app – then unfreeze it just as easily once you’ve got it back.
If your card has been lost, stolen or damaged, simply select the option to block your card and order a new one, again using the app.
How can I change my card PIN number?
You can easily change your card PIN number on your ila app. Select your card in the Cards menu and select Manage Card PIN. You can also change it through ila ATMs.
Can I customize the way my name appears on my card?
Yes, you can select any combination of your names and initials as you want them to appear on your card.
Is there a limit to the number of characters that can appear on my card?
You can have a maximum of 22 characters including spaces.
When can I customize my name on my card?
When you order a new or replacement card you will be given the option to customise your name.
Do I have to memorize my virtual card number for online transactions?
No. Simply go to your cards in the app, click on 'Show Details' then select 'Copy card number'. You can then paste this number for your online transactions.
What types of Credit Cards will be available?
We will be offering only one Credit Card at the moment:
• ila Blue
When is my statement going to be generated and how many days do I have till payment due date?
Your statement will be issued every month on the 21st of the month and your payment due date will be 15 days post the statement date.
What is the interest rate on ila's Credit Card?
You will enjoy a preferable monthly interest rate of 1.75% on your ila Blue Credit Card.
Is there a minimum salary requirement for ila's Credit Cards?
Yes, the minimum salary to apply for an ila Credit Card is:
Salaried/ Retired (Salary is transferred to ila) - JOD 500
Salaried/ Retired ( Salary is not transferred to ila) - JOD 601
Non-Salaried(Self-Employed/ Business Owner) - JOD 750
Is there a minimum balance I need to pay every month?
Yes, you will have to pay a minimum of 3% of the total outstanding balance every month.
How can I apply for ila's Credit Card?
You can apply for ila's Credit Card on the "Cards/ Credit" section on the ila app.
What are the available Credit Card services on the ila app?
You will be able to:
- Freeze / unfreeze the card
- Change the PIN
- Set monthly direct debit

How will I receive my card?
Upon approval of your application by the bank, you will be able to view the card on the app and should receive a call from the courier within two working days to receive the card.
Can I use the card directly when received?
Once the card is activated upon receiving it by entering the last 4 digits and creating your PIN.
How Can my Credit Card be used?
Yes, your Credit Card can be used online, in shops, ATMs, contactless at any merchants that accept Mastercard.
How will you allocate a credit limit to me?
Your credit limit decision is a combination of your monthly income, our lending criteria, and CRIF credit score.
What is the reward program?
You can earn cashback on your daily card usage.
How much cashback can I earn?
You can earn 1% cashback on all eligible transactions. There is a monthly cap of JOD 50 on the ila Blue Credit Card.
What are the fees and charges?
Credit Card Fees and Chargesto view the schedule of fees and charges.
What are the available payment methods?
You can choose to pay your dues manually from your ila Bank account or set a monthly direct debit.
Can I select the direct debit option?
Yes, you can choose between full direct Debit and minimum balance.
How can I check my transactions?
You can check your daily transaction through ila app under "Transactions". You will also receive a monthly e-statement on your registered email address and the same will also be available in ila app.
Can I transfer the cashback rewards?
Cashback amount cannot be transferred and will be automatically credited to your card account at the date of issuing your statement.
When will I receive my cashback rewards?
Your monthly cashback reward will be updated automatically once the transaction is posted and can be viewed under earned this month. The earned this month cashback amount will be automatically credited to your card account on the statement issued date.
Can I track my monthly cashback rewards?
Yes, accumulated cashback rewards on posted transaction can be viewed through the ila app.
When will my transaction be included in the cashback reward?
The transaction will be included in the cashback rewards after the posting date of the transaction.
Can I earn cashback on my international transaction?
Yes, you can earn cashback on all your eligible International transaction.
What is a Fixed Deposit?
A Fixed Deposit is a long-term saving plan which offers higher interest rate than Hassalas. You can save an amount for a period convenient to you to earn a higher interest rate. The interest rate remains unchanged during the term of the deposit.
What are the requirements for creating a Fixed Deposit?
All ila customers can create a Fixed deposit.
In which currencies can I create a Fixed deposit?
You can create a Fixed Deposit in Jordanian Dinar and US Dollar.
Is there a minimum amount required to create a Fixed deposit?
The minimum amount to create a Fixed Deposit in JOD is 3,000 and 5,000 for a Fixed Deposit in USD.
What is the minimum and maximum term for the deposit?
We offer term deposits with tenors starting at one month and up to one year.
How many Fixed Deposits can I create?
You can create as many Fixed Deposits as you wish.
What are the interest rates for the Fixed Deposit?
The latest interest rates published by the bank are always available on our app and on our website.
When will the interest be paid on my Fixed Deposit?
The interest on your Fixed Deposit will be credited to your account on maturity or on the date when you withdraw your deposit earlier than its maturity. An early withdrawal will result in a lower credited interest.
How do I create a Fixed Deposit?
You can easily create a Fixed Deposit from the ila app. On the main screen, Tap on the "Savings" section and tap on "Fixed Deposit". Our instructions will guide you to create a Fixed Deposit easily.
What is Auto Renewal of the Fixed Deposit?
Auto renewal of Fixed Deposit enables you to instruct us to renew your Fixed Deposit on its maturity for the same term at the interest rate applicable on the renewal date. Please note that the interest rate may vary in accordance with the bulletin issued by the Bank.
How can I automatically renew my Fixed Deposit?
You can set your Fixed Deposit to renew automatically using the options available at the time of creating the deposit or later by using the Fixed Deposits setting menu.
What options do I have while setting my Fixed Deposit to renew automatically?
You can set your Fixed Deposit to either renew with only the original deposit amount or the original deposit amount with the interest you will earn when your deposit matures. If you chose to renew the original deposit amount only, the interest you will earn will be transferred to your main ila account.
Can I change the automatic renewal settings?
Yes, you can change the automatic renewal settings from the Fixed Deposit settings menu at any time before the maturity of the deposit.
If I set auto-renew on, how many times will my Fixed Deposit be renewed?
Your Fixed Deposit will continuously auto-renew on the same settings unless you switch off the auto renewal feature from the settings.
Will I be able to change the deposit amount on automatic renewal?
You cannot modify the deposit amount on automatic renewal. You can choose to auto renew with the original deposit amount or the maturity amount.
What if I need to withdraw my money before my Fixed Deposit matures?
If you need access to your Fixed deposit before its maturity, you can withdraw your deposit using the Early Withdrawal option from the Fixed Deposit settings menu. Please do this only if you are in extreme need of money as on early withdrawal will result in lower interest credited to your account.
How will my interest be affected on early withdrawal?
On early withdrawal, the fixed deposit is calculated based on the deposit breaking date. Based on the provisions of the Instructions on Interest on Deposits and Facilities No. (14/2002) dated 15/12/2002 issued by the Central Bank of Jordan, including fines on deposit breaking, shall apply, and interest shall be calculated using the following formula:
(Interest Value × Agreed Interest Rate × Term of Deposit) minus (Withdrawn Part of the Deposit × Maximum Interest Rate Announced on the Withdrawal Date on Term Deposits with Similar Term of the Withdrawn Deposit plus (2%) × Remaining Period of the Term of the Withdrawn Deposit), provided that the customer does not lose any amount of the principal deposit.
The fixed deposit amount shall be added, and credit interest credited, to the current account of the customer in the same currency of the deposit and on the same date of the premature withdrawal of the fixed deposit.
Will I know how much interest I will receive on early withdrawal of my Fixed Deposit?
Yes, when you select Early Withdrawal option, we will show you the details of the interest so that you are well informed before you confirm the transaction.
Can I withdraw a part of my Fixed Deposit before its maturity?
Currently, you cannot do partial withdrawal on your Fixed Deposit.
Can I have overdraft against Fixed Deposit?
Currently, we do not offer overdraft facility.

How to add your ila Card to Apple Pay?
You can add the card using two ways:
1. Through the ila app
Using the ila App to add the card to the wallet using a click of a button and will be redirected to the wallet to accept
T&Cs
2. Through the Wallet app
Open the Wallet app.
Tap the "+" sign in the upper-right corner.
Enter your card's security code to add your Debit Card affiliated with your iTunes account or select "Add a different card," and use your iPhone camera to scan the card information.
Apple Watch
Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
Tap "Wallet & Apple Pay" and select "Add Credit or Debit Card "
Enter your card's security code to add your Credit or Debit card affiliated with your iTunes account Or, select "Add a different card," and use your iPhone camera to scan the card information.

How can I set up Apple Pay on Apple Watch?
Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
Tap My Watch, then tap Wallet & Apple Pay.
If you have cards on your other Apple devices, or cards that you recently removed, tap Add next to a card you want to add, then enter the card’s CVV.
For any other card, tap Add Card, then follow the onscreen instructions.
Your card issuer may require additional steps to verify your identity.
Is there any fee associated with Apple Pay?
There is no fees to use Apple Pay service. If you use your card overseas the normal card related fees is applied.
Do I need to enable Apple Pay in the ila App?
Apple Pay is automatically enabled to ila debit cards and you can use any of the methods of adding the card to the
wallet.
Where do I download the Apple Pay Application from?
Apple Pay application is available on iOS devices under the name “Wallet”
Which ila Card can I use?
You can use ila's Debit Cards.
How do I pay with Apple Pay?
Pay easily, and securely with Apple Pay.
Paying in stores
Apple Pay is the safer, faster way to pay in stores with your iPhone and Apple Watch. Quickly check out using the devices you carry every day. *
To pay with Face ID, double-click the side button, glance at your screen, then hold iPhone near the reader. For Touch ID, hold your iPhone near the reader with your finger on Touch ID. On Apple Watch, double-click the side button and hold Apple Watch up to the reader.
Paying in apps and on websites
Apple Pay is the easier, faster way to pay in apps and on the web because you no longer have to create an account or fill out lengthy forms. *
To pay in apps and on websites in Safari on your iPhone and iPad, select Apple Pay at checkout and complete the payment using Face ID or Touch ID.
To pay on websites in Safari on your Mac, select Apple Pay and complete the payment using your iPhone or Apple Watch. On MacBook Pro, pay using Touch ID on the Touch Bar.
What are the payment limits per transaction?
The maximum payment limit per transaction is up to your card's limit.

The Apple Pay service is reserved for Apple devices only.
What is Efawateercom service?
It enables you to pay Prepaid and Postpaid bills using your JOD account.
Can I save bills?
Yes, you can save the postpaid bills, view and pay their due amounts easily.
Can I pay more than one bill at the same time?
Yes, you can pay up to 5 bills at the same time.
Can I delete or edit saved bills?
Yes, you can edit and delete saved bills.
What is CliQ service?
It enables you to link an Alias or Mobile number to your Jordanian account. You can receive money/ payment requests using your Alias or Mobile number.
Send money instantly using Alias, Mobile number or IBAN of a beneficiary.
Receive money instantly using your Alias, Mobile number or IBAN.
Request money instantly from CliQ registered customers using beneficiary Alias or Mobile number and receive payment requests.
Pay using QR code instantly.
Return a specific payment (fully or partially) to the sender.
How can I send money using this feature?
You have to be registered on CliQ noting that the registration is done automatically once you onboard on ila application. You can use Alias, Mobile number or IBAN of your beneficiary to send money instantly. Your beneficiary must be registered on CliQ to receive money using Alias and Mobile number however it is not mandatory for your beneficiary to be registered on CliQ to receive money using the IBAN.
Can I send or receive payments through CliQ to/from banks outside Jordan?
No, CliQ service is local.
Can I link my other currencies account to alias or my mobile number?
No, you can only link your JOD account.
How can I send a payment request using this feature?
You have to be registered on CliQ, noting that the registration is done automatically once you onboard on ila application. You can use the sender’s Alias or mobile number to send a payment request instantly.
Can I accept or reject a received payment request?
Yes, you can accept or reject a payment request received within 60 minutes.
Can I return a CliQ payment?
Yes, You can return a received payment fully or partially to the sender within 6 days.
